Level Up Your Ride: Pre-MBO Trail Skills Clinic
Thursday, June 26, 2025 | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Get ready to crush Oakridge trails with confidence!

Whether you’re an intermediate rider or just want to fine-tune your skills before MBO, this clinic is the perfect way to dial in your technique and make your MBO experience even more epic.

Led by two expert coaches who know the Oakridge trails inside and out, you’ll master essential skills like:

  • Tackling tricky switchbacks
  • Conquering steep transitions
  • Nailing cornering with flow
  • Lifting your wheels like a pro

What to Expect:

  • Small group experience: 12 riders max for personalized coaching
  • Hands-on learning: Static instruction, on-trail application, personal coaching, and even film analysis to fine-tune your form
  • Awesome locations: The first half of the clinic takes place onsite at the MBO campus, followed by a shuttled ride to one of Oakridge’s best trails to put your new skills into action!

Skills Camp Schedule:

  • Thursday:
    • Arrive to MBO Festival Grounds, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
      • Drive in to festival camping grounds and find your spot to park and camp.
      • MBO Registration will not officially open until noon so just find your spot to camp and you can register after the clinic.
    • On-site Instruction, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
      • Look for the airbags near the festival grounds & large circus tent where you will find Coach Dennis & Coach Robbie set up.
      • Check in with Instructors and begin clinic.
      • On-site Instruction will focus on skill-building through drills and personal coaching.
    • Off-site Instruction, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
      • Load up in a shuttle van to go practice your new skills on the trail.
      • On trail instructions and coaching to master your skills.

Pre-MBO Trail Skills Clinic FAQ

  1. What should I bring?
  • Your bike (in good working condition)
  • A helmet (required)
  • Water and snacks to keep you fueled
  • Any protective gear you prefer (knee pads, gloves, etc.)
  1. When should I arrive?
    You’ll be arriving before the festival officially opens to the public. Please park on the festival camping grounds and be ready to start your clinic at 11:00 AM sharp. You can complete your official MBO registration after the clinic wraps up.
  2. Who is this clinic for?
    This clinic is designed for men and women, 16+ years old, who already have at least intermediate-level mountain biking skills and want to improve their techniques. You’ll work on:
  • Switchbacks
  • Steep transitions
  • Cornering
  • Wheel lifts

It’s the perfect way to build confidence, sharpen your skills, and get ready for an epic time on the Oakridge trails at MBO!

  1. How long is the clinic?
    The clinic runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and includes both static instruction and on-trail practice.  There will be time taken to load up and drive to the trail head and back so approximately 4 hours of instruction and 1 hour of loading, unloading, & driving.  
  2. Where will the clinic take place?
    The first half will be held onsite at the MBO campus, followed by a shuttled ride to sections of one of Oakridge’s most iconic trails, the beautiful Alpine, where you’ll apply your new skills.
